Dr. Otto von Scratchansniff, known simply as just Dr. Scratchansniff, is a psychiatrist and recurring character in the Animaniacs television series. He works for the Warner Bros. studio lot, and was hailed as one of the greatest psychiatrists in Hollywood before the Warner siblings' arrival. He is voiced by Rob Paulsen.
Character description
Scratchansniff is an older male who wears a lab coat and thick glasses, who speaks in a thick Austrian-German accent. As a regular character in the Warner segments, Scratchansniff is generally presented as a victim of their antics. However, he also acts as a sort of surrogate father to the Warner siblings, making them to partake in mundane activities in an attempt to make them stay grounded. Despite his role as the sibling's caretaker, he doesn't like being seen as such, insisting that he is nothing more than their psychiatrist, even when they jokingly call him names like "father" or "daddy."
